Catalogue of remedies

The catalogue of remedies (Heilmittelkatalog) is part of the remedies guideline of the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA). It specifies for which conditions (diagnosis groups) which remedies may be prescribed at the expense of statutory health insurance – and in what quantity.

Podiatry in the catalogue

• DF – diabetic foot syndrome
• NF – foot disease with sensory/sensorimotor neuropathy
• QF – foot disease with spinal cord injury
• UI – unguis incarnatus (ingrown toenail), treatment with a nail correction brace

The remedies provided for are callus removal, nail treatment, podiatric complex treatment (both together) and nail brace treatment.
